​​​​  South Warren High School Bands operate on an annual allocation of $2,500 from the school district, on par with other high schools and other districts. There are in excess of 125 students that participate in the band program which equates to approximately $20 of the school budget dedicated to the individual band student per year. One new piece of performance music may cost $100, a single school-owned instrument repair could cost anywhere from $50 to $1,000. The cost of a new instrument can be $1,000 for a new trumpet to $8,000 for a new tuba. As you can see, the entire annual budget could be spent on a few instrument repairs or on the purchase of a single instrument. A thriving program, capable of growth, is expensive to maintain but well worth it. Herein lies the purpose of the South Warren Band Boosters. We exist to fill gap between what is provided to the program by the school district and what is needed to keep the program alive and thriving.

How can you help?

1.  Our MAIN source of income is from operating concession for all South Warren High School basketball and football games. This requires a large number of volunteers both “on the ground” cooking and selling during the games. We also need several other workers behind the scenes, between events. Having a large number of willing volunteers for these positions is an absolute necessity for the program. If you can do nothing else, PLEASE volunteer to help with concessions! 2.  The South Warren Band Boosters participates in the Kroger Community Rewards Program. The easiest fundraiser EVER. Through this program, Kroger DONATES a percentage of each of your purchases to our program. This costs the band nothing and costs you nothing more than your time to designate South Warren Band Boosters as the recipient for your Kroger card purchases. 3.  We depend on businesses to partner with us to bolster the financial future of the South Warren Bands programs by   donation of their time, equipment, and other resources. In return, these businesses are recognized for their contributions in a variety of ways, the least of which is a logo placement and corporate website link on the Sponsors page of this website. 4.  Each fall, South Warren Bands produces a discount card hailed as the best discount card for the money in this part of the state! We sell the cards for a bargain price of $5 and their sales begin late July and continue through September. Making your friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors aware of the price and the savings is usually all it takes. These cards really do sell themselves!  Spartan Card
